Colorado native and fitness expert Bobbe Ariano has opened her third Orangetheory Fitness studio in the North Central community. The Camelback Colonnade location opened last month at 1928 E. Highland Ave., #172, joining the Madison Village and Arcadia studios.

The theory behind this boutique-style gym is interval training utilizing five zones of heart rate. “Interval training is not a fad—it has been around forever,” Ariano says. “Orangetheory took what works and put it into a process that is accessible to everyone.”

The program is designed to keep the heart rate in the zone that increases post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). A typical class is spent doing 26 minutes of interval training on the treadmill and 26 minutes of resistance training and low-impact cardio training using a water-powered rower. The three main components of the workout are power, strength and endurance.

Orangetheory Fitness guarantees results based on a three- to four-day-per-week commitment. Every class is led by a certified personal trainer.

The new Colonnade studio is offering special grand opening rates through Aug. 15. For more information, visit www.orangetheoryfitness.com or call 602-277-5400.
