The Sunnyslope Historical Society and Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County (LVMC) will host a free luncheon Saturday, Oct. 21 to foster fellowship in the Sunnyslope community.

Historical society members and guests, along with LVMC staff, volunteers and students, and welcomed residents, will come together to learn about the organizations and the community, and to develop personal relationships among themselves over a potluck luncheon.

Attendees are asked to bring home-prepared dishes that reflect their heritage. Historical society members and those from the LVMC also will provide food from and array of ethnic backgrounds, including Serbian, Mexican, Iranian, Congolese and Mandarin.

RSVP requested with the number of people in your party who will attend, and what dish you will bring to share. The event will be held beginning at Noon at the Sunnyslope History Museum, 737 E. Hatcher Road.

To RSVP or for more information, contact the Sunnyslope Historical Society at 602-331-3150 or LVMC at 602-943-7332.
