This tabby cat named Sunshine may be past the kitten phase but she still has plenty of playfulness left in her and gets along with other pets, too (submitted photo).

With a rumbling purr and an outgoing personality, Sunshine will brighten anyone’s day. Although this ravishing and gregarious 4-year-old American Shorthair enjoys downtime spent sunbathing on the balcony, she also has a playful side and clumsily clambers across the room in pursuit of her favorite toy mouse. She also has a fascination with shoeboxes and fits nicely in a size 8 box. Never destructive, Sunshine makes good use of a scratching post, is litter box trained and likes to sleep in bed with you.

Rescued with an injured paw, Sunshine recovered at the Arizona Humane Society and is now ready for a new home. Charming and amiable, she wakes from a deep slumber to greet you at her kennel door with curious and cheerful meows. (She’s a good conversationalist.) When you pet her, she purrs readily and affectionately leans her entire body on you or sweetly nudges your hand so you’ll massage her chipmunk cheeks.

Sunshine seems to be nonchalant about being in the presence of other pets and will likely ignore any four-legged roommate in her new home.

Meet Sunshine at the Sunnyslope Campus located at 9226 N. 13th Ave. Her adoption fee is $40. For more information, call 602-997-7585 and ask for animal number A551784.
