Family members and friends of addicted individuals can find support through support groups in the North Central Phoenix community.

Nar-Anon Family Support Group meets 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 N. 10th St. Another group meets 6 p.m. Fridays at the Calvary Addiction Recovery Center, 720 E. Montebello Ave. The program, which is not a religious one but a spiritual way of life, is based on the Twelve Steps of Nar-Anon. For more information, visit www.nar-anon.org.

Families Anonymous meets 7 p.m. Mondays at First Methodist Church, 5510 N. Central Ave. It is a 12-step fellowship program for family and friends of those individuals with drug, alcohol or related behavioral issues. For more information, visit www.familiesanonymous.org or call 602-647-5800.
