Celebrate Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Live! at Pueblo Grande Museum on Saturday, Sept. 23 with fun, family friendly programming and the opportunity to get free museum admission.

In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums accessibility to all who are interested, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket … for free.

“This event has been a great way to reach out and provide free access to a larger community that may not have known about our unique archaeological site and museum before,” said Nicole Armstrong-Best, Pueblo Grande Museum director. “Our doors are open for everyone to come and enjoy this exciting day full of hands-on activities celebrating all museums.”

In honor of the event, the museum will have gallery tours, artifact show-and-tell stations, and fun prehistoric archaeology and Hohokam related crafts available throughout the day.

To print off a ticket for two free admissions, visit www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday. The museum, located at 4619 E. Washington St., will be open its normal hours of operation, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.  For more information, call 602-495-0901.
