Hershel may be missing a leg but he is still a bundle of affection and fun, and is looking for his furever home (submitted photo).

Hershel is a 7-year-old boxer who came to the Arizona Humane Society when he was badly injured as a stray, ultimately needing his front leg amputated. But even though he is a tripod, nothing stops this energetic bundle of cuteness from playing and being the sweet, happy dog he was always meant to be.

As you can imagine, Hershel has some of the cutest tail wags around as they are usually more of a booty shake because of his shorter tail. You will especially be treated to those cute wags when you give him scratches and rubs around his shoulders and back, which are his favorite. If you are looking to give the sweet Hershel a forever home, he will make sure to always reward you with kisses and cuddles.

This awesome pup is available at the AHS Sunnyslope Campus, located at 9226 N. 13th Ave. His adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip and vaccinations. For more information, call 602-997-7585 and ask for animal number A572912.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter, however AHS has dozens more wonderful pets who also need loving homes. To see all adoptable animals right now, visit www.azhumane.org/findapet.
