Enjoy the beautiful spring weather while perusing a wide variety of art during the Shemer Art Center’s annual Art in the Garden, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 6.

This fun, free event at the center, located at 5005 E. Camelback Road, will feature a colorful display of garden-themed artist tents, showcasing the latest in florals, botanicals, ceramics, wood and wearable art, as well as live music, a variety of art and garden demonstrations, food and beverages available for purchase, and a silent auction.

This year’s free event features a paid add-on: a Sparkling Tea Party, held from 2-4 p.m. in the back garden patio. Admission to the party is $50 per person. Live music and a menu of finger sandwiches, scones and petite pastries will be complemented by a short program with guest speakers, and of course, tea and a sparking accompaniment. An award will be presented during the tea for the most artistic garden hat.

All funds raised from this event will be used to support scholarships for the Shemer Art Center’s Summer Camps, held for four weeks in June. For more information or to purchase tickets for the Sparkling Tea party, visit https://shemerartcenter.org/programming/events/.
