Florence Crittenton, an organization that aims to help girls and young woman, is the recipient of a $100,000 donation.

The agency received the donation from Gift for Empowerment and through Dec. 15 donors have a chance to double their donations by giving financially to Florence Crittenton of Arizona’s Foster Care and Public School Tax Credit via a dollar-for-dollar match up to $100,000. Every year the Foster Care Tax Credit supports over 200 girls, young women and their children by offering a safe shelter, basic provisions, housing, healthcare, education, social support and counseling.

The Public School Tax Credit will support about 125 girls at the Girls Leadership Academy of Arizona with science supplies and field trips that enhance the curriculum, upgrades in technology, clubs, extracurricular sports and enrichment activities.
