Abrazo Health is holding its annual Healthy Over Hungry Cereal Drive, now through June 14. The drive benefits local food banks to help provide healthy breakfasts for low-income families.

Donations of healthy breakfast cereals can be made at Abrazo Central Campus, 2000 W. Bethany Home Road, in the cafeteria. Look for the donation box near the condiments.

Whole-grain cereal, when part of a healthy, balanced breakfast including dairy, fruit and lean protein, is a popular food item that experts say can easily address the hunger gap during the summer months when children are not in school.

Online donations can be made at smfba.convio.net/AbrazoCentralFundDrive. Each dollar donated will help provide food for up to seven meals, according to the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.
