Jewish Family & Children’s Service presents its monthly Memory Café 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Beth El Congregation, 1118 W. Glendale Ave. March’s guest teaching artist is Shari Keith, a visual artist who is also known as “The Junk Lady!”
Keith will provide a treasure trove of found objects for you to use in creating a small work of art that can be worn as a pendant, hung as decor or used as a key fob. No background or artistic skills are needed.
The Café is a meeting place for those with changes in their thinking or memory, mild cognitive impairment or dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder, along with their care partners. Coffee and snacks are provided.
