More people who are struggling financially will be able to put food on their tables because of Angry Crab Shack’s donations.
The restaurant, which has a location at 2808 E. Indian School Road and one in Mesa, recently donated $20,000 to St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix and United Food Bank in Mesa. Each organization received $10,000 and altogether the donations will provide about 70,000 meals out of St. Mary’s Food Bank and 50,000 from United Food Bank. Valley food banks have seen a significant increase in need, feeding as many as 1 million people a month, since the pandemic began.
Angry Crab Shack, a seafood restaurant group, donated more than $145,000 to Arizona charities last year.
The restaurant also is hiring wait staff, front-of-house workers, back-of-house employees and others at all its locations in Arizona. It expects an expansion to 100 locations or more by 2023. Workers must be at least 18 years old. To apply for a job, visit angrycrabshack.com/apply-now-locations.
