It’s hard to resist a pup who looks cute in pajamas.

Cury is a sweet, two-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier who came to the Arizona Humane Society when she was a sick stray. When this beautiful girl was treated in the shelter’s Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital it was discovered that she is deaf. However, she continues to demonstrate how special needs pets are just as capable as other furry companions.

Cury loves to romp around in the water and is an expert walker. She likes to show off how well she can sit and those who know her say she sounds like a little piglet. Hand signals are a great tool to communicate with Cury and other deaf pets. The best way to Cury’s heart is by giving her booty scratches. While she gets along well with everyone, due to her hearing impediment she will do best if she meets the whole family first to ensure it is a good fit.

Cury’s animal number is 670752. While all Arizona Humane Society Adoption locations are closed temporarily during this COVID-19 pandemic, the organization’s Virtual Matchmaking Program by appointment is available to place cute Cury and other pets with their “fur-ever” families. You can check out all the dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter by visiting www.azhumane.org/adopt.
