The holiday season is almost here and Christown Spectrum Shopping Center is gearing up for visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

This mall at 1703 W. Bethany Home Road will host Christown Cringles’ Workshop from noon to 3 p.m. on Dec. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19. Guests can engage in festive activities inside Santa’s Workshop including Mrs. Claus’ kitchen featuring crafts. Every Saturday the first 100 visitors who visit the workshop will receive $5 Harkins Theatres gift cards. Children can create an ornament to bring home and an ornament to decorate the tree in the workshop. Santa’s mailbox will be available for kids to drop in their notes to Jolly Old St. Nicholas. Christown Cringles elves will read holiday stories to youths. Frosty the Snowman and other holiday-related characters will mingle with guests.

In another area of the mall in the Center Court, Santa Claus will pose for photos with visitors. The exact hours and dates he will be there were not available at press time. Christown Cringles’ Workshop will take place behind Center Court.

Visitors are encouraged to donate non-perishable foods on Mrs. Claus’ shelf. Anyone who donates five cans of non-perishable food will receive a $5 gift card to Harkins Theatres. The food will be given to a Phoenix food bank and area children’s charity and/or 3TV’s “Make a Wish Tree” at the end of the season.
