Something sweet is in Sunnyslope in time for Mothers Day.

San Francisco Chocolate Factory recently opened at 702 W. Dunlap Ave. Owner Jay Levine’s specialty is caramel apples, which are handmade and come individually wrapped in 17 different varieties. Levine also produces handmade chocolate fudge that he folds into logs and handmade chocolates created in small batches to ensure their freshness. Frozen chocolate-covered bananas and frozen chocolate-covered cheesecake are among the many other confections.

For Mothers Day, you can buy one dozen, chocolate-dipped strawberries for $18. San Francisco Chocolate Factory also is selling Mothers Day gift baskets in four sizes. The $23 gift tin has one pound of assorted, handmade chocolates, while a $30 wicker gift basket has one pound of different chocolates, a half-pound of fudge and a fresh caramel apple. A $60 wicker basket holds two pounds of various chocolates, two fudges in different flavors and two caramel apples. The $90 Mothers Day wicker gift basket features three pounds of assorted handmade chocolates, as well as three different, half-pound flavors of fudge and three, freshly made caramel apples.

San Francisco Chocolate Factory is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. To learn more, visit https://sfcfonline.com.
