Registration is starting soon for the virtual Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF).

This is the state science fair for Arizona, which draws first-place winners from school, homeschool, district, county and regional science fairs around the state who compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes. Registration opens on Monday, Feb. 8 and the virtual fair will take place March 29 to April 3. The deadline to register is midnight on March 15.

Students will not be asked to make the physical project board as they have in the past, but will be asked to present their projects using a slide deck.

The state fair director is hosting monthly meetings for school, regional and district fair directors to share the latest information and answer questions. They will next meet at 4 p.m. on Feb. 10, then March 10 and April 14.
