Want to get in shape while socializing from the comfort of home? Jewish Family & Children’s Service, through its Center for Senior Enrichment, provides many different exercise classes for older adults through the video chat system Zoom.

Fitness Fun with Zoe is held every Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Participants perform light chair exercises with the option of using weights. Some movements can be done standing but all of them can be done while sitting.

Dance and Movement with Michelle is offered from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays. At the classes on June 7 and 21, called “Dance Through the Decades,” participants will learn or revisit the popular social dances of the 1950s, ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. The theme for the classes June 14 and 28 is “3M Movement: (Mind, Muscle, Merriment).” The class helps older adults strengthen the body and explore movement, improvisation and dance making for expression and general well-being. These classes are free of charge.
