Duet is offering a free online series for those who are caring for a family member with Dementia.

“Finding Meaning and Hope” is a  free discussion series for family members caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The 10-week, series offers effective strategies for managing on-going stress and grief associated with caregiving, while regaining hope and building resiliency.

The series will be led by trained facilitators and feature videos of Dr. Pauline Boss, author of the book “Loving Someone Who Has Dementia: How to Find Hope While Coping with Stress and Grief.” Family caregivers will discuss specific challenges and techniques to stay healthy, strong and positive.

Two programs kick off in March. An in-person class will be held the first and third Mondays, March 7–Aug. 1, from 2–3:30 p.m. at 7601 E. Shea Blvd., Room D103, in Scottsdale. A virtual class for LGBTQ+ Family Caregivers will be held via Zoom, 10:30 a.m.–noon, Tuesdays, March 22–May 24.
