A calm, quiet home would be best for four-year-old Cleo, a domestic shorthair tabby described as an “old soul” (photo courtesy of Arizona Humane Society).

Adorable Cleo is a four-year-old brown domestic shorthair tabby that was originally brought to the Arizona Humane Society after her owner died in September of last year and she had nowhere else to go. This sweet kitty’s story is a great reminder to always have a plan in place for your pets in case an emergency or unexpected turn of events happens and affects your ability to care for them.

After undergoing dental surgery in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, Cleo was quickly adopted but unfortunately returned recently due allergies in the home. Since this beautiful girl can be a bit shy at times, she would greatly benefit from going to a cat savvy home that allows her to go at her own pace and is patient with her while she adjusts.

A calm, quiet home may be best for little Cleo as she is an old soul and prefers the calm. Additionally, she may do better having other kitties in the home to help make her feel more comfortable and have other outlets for comfort and friendship.

Cleo’s animal number is 676546. AHS’ Virtual Adoption Matchmaking Program by appointment is available to place pets like Cleo with their forever families. While she may have already been adopted by the time of a matchmaking appointment, AHS has dozens of other wonderful pets who need loving homes. Interested adopters are encouraged to take a moment to meet some of the dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter, or view available pets on the Adopt pages on the website.
