If you’re caring for a loved one and feeling overwhelmed, alone in the obligation or even resentful, you can find family caregiver and grandfamily support through programs offered by Duet.

“Attending a support group can make a big difference,” said Deanne Poulos, Caregiver Services, Duet. “You can express your frustrations in a safe space, without judgment. You will be guided to resources and learn coping strategies to bolster your resilience.”

Duet is offering free, in-person and virtual options. Social distancing and masks are required for in-person events.

Available in-person groups include Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group, for caregivers and loved ones with dementia (first and third Tuesdays, noon–1:30 p.m., at the Duet office); LGBTQ+ Support Group for caregivers identifying as LGBTQ+ (first and third Thursdays, 2–3:30 p.m. at Community Church of Hope); North Central Phoenix Parkinson Support Group, for caregivers and their loved ones with Parkinson’s (second Wednesday of each month, 1:30–3 p.m., Duet office); Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group, (second and fourth Thursdays, 9–10:30 a.m., Duet office).
