As the planet’s population continues growing – eight billion and counting – innovative solutions to create eco-friendly housing are more important than ever, the Arizona Science Center says.
With that in mind, during its next Teen Tech IRL, Dec. 7, teens in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to dream up their own creative ideas for eco-friendly housing. Participants will start the day learning the intricacies of housing and the environment from local experts, then will break into teams to design and prototype ideas. At the end of the day, teams will present their prototypes to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes.
The Arizona Science Center is located at 600 E. Washington St. The Dec. 7 event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. and costs $15 to participate; lunch will be provided.
