The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) announced that no major closures are scheduled along Phoenix-area freeways this weekend, Nov. 22-25. There are, however, a few overnight lane restrictions planned starting Sunday night:

  • North- and southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) narrowed to three lanes at times in areas between McDowell and Thunderbird roads in the West Valley from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday nights (Nov. 24-26) for pavement marking. These will be rolling restrictions. Drivers are asked to be alert to slowing traffic and use caution when approaching law enforcement and highway work vehicles.
  • Drivers who use US 60 between Apache Junction and Globe should be aware that US 60 will be closed in both directions between Superior and Miami from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 26) for blasting as part of a bridge construction project. Consider adjusting travel schedules to avoid the closure and lengthy detour.
  • No closures are scheduled over Thanksgiving weekend.
