The Phoenix Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) is hosting a new membership drive in January 2025. NCL is a mother-daughter volunteer organization that empowers young women and fosters strong mother-daughter bonds through volunteer work, leadership development and cultural experiences.
The national organization, which was established in 1925 and is approaching its 100th anniversary, has more than 200,000 members and alumni nationwide. Last year, NCL chapters contributed nearly three million volunteer hours, benefiting over 6,000 local charities and resulting in an $87 million fiscal impact.
The Phoenix Chapter of NCL was founded in 1995 and currently has nearly 300 members (moms and daughters from seventh grade through high school). The chapter is dedicated to serving philanthropic organizations such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent de Paul, Nourish Phoenix, Homeward Bound, Amanda Hope, among others.
The chapter’s annual membership drive runs Jan. 15 to March 1. Prospective members must reside in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Girls in the chapter typically attend schools such as Xavier College Prep, Arizona School of the Arts, Sunnyslope High School, Madison Highland Prep, St. Francis Xavier, All Saints Episcopal Day School, Madison Meadows, Madison No. 1 and Madison Traditional Academy.
