Valley residents are invited to Kidical Mass Phoenix, Oct. 18, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., at Margaret T. Hance Park, 3rd Avenue and Culver Street. The 3-mile group ride is geared towards little riders, families pulling bike trailers, teens on cruisers and anyone who wants to experience the excitement of riding bikes together.

Organizers said, “This ride is about fun, safety, and community, showing what’s possible when our streets are built for everyone who uses them.”

Hance Park will serve as home base, with parking for families driving in and space for gathering before and after the ride. The route is designed to be safe, family-friendly and inclusive of riders young and old. Additional activities include a Bike Rodeo, hosted by Phoenix Fire Department, where kids can practice turns, stops and skills in a fun obstacle course.

Participants can also enjoy coffee, donuts and other options from local food trucks for purchase, including a Donut Trike serving up sweets from Chin Up Donuts. In addition, the event will offer an opportunity to connect with neighbors, advocacy groups, and local riders who share a vision for safer, more family-friendly streets.

The ride is supported by Coronado Neighborhood Association, Carnation Neighborhood, Phoenix Fire Department, Phoenix Spokes People and the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department. Residents can RSVP or follow @KidicalMassPHX on Instagram or contact the organizers at www.facebook.com/share/1F6VoRzGmZ.
