As the calendar rolls from 2025 to 2026, HandsOn Greater Phoenix encourages residents to consider setting a goal to volunteer on a regular basis. Volunteering not only helps better the community, but also benefits for your own social, emotional and physical wellbeing, the nonprofit says.
From a Saturday “spruce up” at Maggie’s Place (Jan. 3), work on the Pierson Street Garden (Jan. 10) and multiple MLK 2026 Weekend/Day of Service opportunities (Jan. 17 and 19), to St. Vincent de Paul kitchen crew and St. Mary’s Food Bank meal packing opportunities throughout the month and more, dozens of volunteer opportunities are available.
Check out HandsOn’s volunteer opportunity calendar to find opportunities that resonate with you, or apply to be a volunteer leader and manage a recurring project once a month.
