Ballet Arizona announced the return of its annual Dance With Me Gala, honoring board members, patrons, staff and charitable donors for their support of the organization. The event will take place Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Arizona Biltmore and will honor Joan and Charlie Berry for their generosity, philanthropic dedication and lifelong philanthropic partnership. The gala will be chaired by Carla Cohen, and attendees are invited to dress in innovative couture attire.
This year’s theme is “ALICE (in Wonderland),” which Ballet Arizona will stage in February. Guests can revel in an exclusive sneak peek of “ALICE (in Wonderland)” before its premieres on Feb. 12 at Symphony Hall. The beloved classic by Lewis Carroll will come to life at Symphony Hall with live music performed by The Phoenix Symphony. This breathtaking production will blend ballet and contemporary dance for a whimsical journey that will delight audiences of every age.
All proceeds from the event support Ballet Arizona’s performance season as well as its education and community engagement programs. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by the special performance by Ballet Arizona dancers. Following dinner, guests can take to the dance floor with the professional dancers for the remainder of the evening.
