The Arizona Cardinals Preparatory Academy, located on the Royal Palm Middle School campus, is a specialized academic program designed for motivated sixth through eighth grade students. The academy fosters academic excellence in a small, supportive learning environment that prepares students for success in honors and advanced high school courses, the district said.

“Students remain with the same cohort of peers for three years, building strong friendships, teamwork skills and leadership confidence. This close-knit structure creates a positive culture of peer support and shared achievement,” leadership added.

The academy boasts a rigorous, state-aligned curriculum, where students may qualify for advanced placement after successful completion of the Glendale Union High School curriculum in eighth grade. Teachers in language arts and social studies collaborate to develop strong, proficient writers, while science classes emphasize hands-on, inquiry-based learning.

Beyond the classroom, the district says that students engage in meaningful community experiences and service projects, financial literacy workshops, food drives, reading with young children, and mentoring students in the Royal Palm Autism program. Students also enjoy a well-rounded middle school experience with access to athletics, band and orchestra, choir, art, physical education, and Garden Club.

Families in the district and neighboring communities are invited to learn more about Arizona Cardinals Preparatory Academy at an open house for prospective students, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Visit https://royalpalm.wesdschools.org and click on the link under “About Us” for more information, or contact Kendra Tollackson at kendra.tollackson@wesdschools.org.
