The Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix invites audiences to hit the open road this spring with “American Road Trip: Songs from Every Mile,” a concert series celebrating the music, stories and shared spirit of America. Featuring folk favorites, patriotic anthems, iconic popular songs and a stirring spiritual, this vibrant program reflects the landscapes and voices that have shaped the American experience.
The program weaves together music that speaks to America’s history, resilience, and evolving identity. The program includes works by legendary artists such as Irving Berlin, John Denver, Ray Charles, and Bob Dylan, alongside traditional folk songs and spirituals that have been passed down through generations.
This special concert series is underwritten by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in support of choral performances inspired by the National Garden of American Heroes as part of the nationwide America250 celebrations.
Four performances will be offered, including Sunday, April 19, 3 p.m. at Camelback Bible Church, 3900 E. Stanford Dr. Tickets range from $20 to $35 (free for children 12 and under) and are available at www.orpheus.org or by calling the box office at 602-699-4556.
