The Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona (DPCA) will host a free annual May event in the heart of North Central that is geared toward area families. Called “Tapping Into Water Safety,” this year’s 27th annual event will be held at the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, 11111 N. 7th St., Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event brings together water safety advocates from across the Valley at one location to provide education, tools and equipment. Some of those advocates include the Phoenix Fire Department, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the YMCA and SRP. Free life jackets will be given to attendees and CPR awareness training will be offered. There also will be an opportunity to win raffle prizes and free access to the resort pools is available during the event.
