The Sunnyslope Community Center, 802 E. Vogel Ave., is introducing a Fuji-Kai/Self-Defense Course for adults ages 18 and older, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays, from Sept. 9 through Oct. 14. Students will learn escapes, counters from grabs, choke holds, strikes and eventually escapes from attacks with weapons. Students also will cultivate and observe the rules of courtesy and respect.
