Phoenix Public Library has launched two new electronic resources, Axis 360 and Press Display, available to library cardholders through the library’s website at www.phoenixpubliclibrary.org.

Axis 360 offers a diverse collection of the most popular titles and topics in both eBook and eAudio formats. Designed for the Blio format, eBooks available through this digital collection include children’s picture books, cookbooks and other visually rich items.

In addition to these nonfiction materials, the library has acquired digital copies of works by popular authors including David Baldacci, Nicholas Sparks and Sandra Brown —previously unavailable to the library. More than 4,800 copies are currently available with library staff expecting to add an additional 800 titles per month over the next year.

Blio is an ADA compliant platform that provides more visually appealing materials than the standard Epub format.

Press Display is an online service that provides more than 2,500 newspapers and magazines from 97 countries in more than 50 languages—available on the day of publication. Titles include “International Herald Tribune,” “Washington Post,” “Los Angeles Times” and more. Library cardholders may also download an app that allows them to download, store, read and manage their newspaper and magazine selections. A mobile version of the service makes publications available through your smart phone or Blackberry device.

Visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org and select “Browse the Library.” Click on “eLibrary.” Then, click on “eBooks” to explore Axis 360 and “Online Magazines & Newspapers” to sample Press Display.
