The I Recycle Phoenix Festival is a one-stop free recycling event that will take place 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Christown Spectrum Mall, 1703 W. Bethany Home Road.

Items that can be recycled include electronics, cell phones, hard drive shredding, phone books, laptops and desktops, writing utensils, plastic grocery bags, ink jet cartridges, rechargeable batteries, clothing and household donations. You also can bring your live Christmas trees. No household hazardous waste will be accepted.

On-site document shredding (up to 5 boxes) will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. or until the truck is full.

There is a small fee for CRT monitors and TVs (tube). For a complete list of acceptable items, visit http://www.recyclecleanphoenix.org.

The festival also will collect non-perishable food donations for local food banks.
