The David & Gladys Wright House (DWH) has launched an innovative web tool that will allow its global audience of supporters to access Frank Lloyd Wright’s last residential build in Arizona: A Virtual Tour of the spiral-shaped home and grounds.
The unique home, which was acquired by the David Wright House LLC in 2012, has welcomed guests from across the country—and from six continents—as well as leading historians and architectural scholars.
Public access to the DWH is temporarily limited while the owners work with the city of Phoenix on historic designation protections, and with neighbors about noise and traffic concerns associated with public access.
The Virtual Tour allows anyone to get up close and personal with one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s remaining properties in Arizona. Web visitors can see in fine detail the unique dwelling’s circular patterns, hand-cut Philippine mahogany, custom-designed furnishings, as well as its pastoral setting near the base of Camelback Mountain.
Visitors can even take an archived photo tour of the home to experience its original setting in the 1950s, when Frank Lloyd Wright’s son, David, and daughter-in-law, Gladys, lived there.
