The third-annual Doggie Street Festival, set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, is a dog and cat adopt-a-thon and fun celebration of companion animals. More than a dozen breed-specific rescue groups will be in attendance with adoptable dogs and cats.

This celebration, held at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road, also provides a shopping extravaganza experience with lots of great deals and free samples from the specialty vendors in attendance, offering the latest in pet foods, services, fashion, accessories, health supplements, dog training, travel, lodging, nutrition and veterinary care.

There will also be music, food and auction prizes, as well as an area just for kids. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. For more information, visit www.doggiestreetfestival.org/phoenix/, e-mail doggiestreet@gmail.com or call 323-445-5087.
