The entire family, including the youngest and the oldest ones, can burn some calories before the big feast on Thanksgiving Day.

The annual Phoenix Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving day, Thursday, Nov. 28, at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza at 1700 W. Washington St. It kicks off with the 1-mile Gobbler Dash for parents and children ages 12 years old and younger at 7:30 a.m. The 10K run will begin at 9 a.m., the 5K run and walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and a Tot Trot will be held at 9:30 a.m. The cost to participate ranges from $8 to $45 if you register by Nov. 27. The cost on race day ranges from $8 to $50.

Turkey Trotters will enjoy post-race food, hot drinks and a shirt, and top finishers by age will receive medals. To learn more, visit www.phoenixturkeytrot.com.
