Jewish Family & Children’s Service is taking steps to try to protect those who rely on its services for their health and well-being.

The organization said late last month it plans to keep its healthcare centers and clinics open despite the Coronavirus so it may offer vital assistance to residents. Those include the Michael R. Zent Healthcare Center at 3001 N. 33 rd Ave. in Phoenix, as well as one in west Phoenix and ones in Gilbert and Glendale.

Several programs are still continuing but will have some adjustments in how they are delivered. Those are Jewish Counseling and Case Management, Jewish Career Services, Just 3 Things Food Pantry, Older Adult In-Home Services, Real World Job Development, Senior Concierge, Shelter Without Walls, Creating Peaceful Families and Parent Aide, Supervised Visitation and Family Preservation.

In order to try to protect the community, especially to minimize the risk of healthcare issues to senior citizens, the Aleinu Outreach & Education, bereavement group counseling, Center for Senior Enrichment and Creative Aging have been suspended until further notice.
