HonorHealth, in partnership with Maricopa County, provided the COVID-19 vaccines to 33 residents at least 75 years old at the Adult Day Healthcare center at 303 E. Eva St. on the HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center campus. Older residents come to the center for activities on a regular basis, Mondays through Fridays. A nurse works on site. The seniors received the first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Most of the members of the Adult Day Healthcare center  are over 60 years old and many have dementia and other medical issues. The center provides a place for mature residents to stay engaged while their caregivers get a reprieve from the demands of tending to a loved one. It costs $85 per day for access to the healthcare center with funding available to qualified people through the Arizona Long Term Care System, Area Agency on Aging and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Arizona Caregivers Coalition and scholarships also can provide financial help to those who need it.
