Residents are invited to welcome the holidays in one of the premier historic districts in Phoenix. The 38th Annual F.Q. Story Home Tour and Holiday Marketplace will be held Saturday, Dec. 7. Eleven homes and six gardens on Lynwood and Willetta Streets, between 7th and 16th avenues, are included in the 2024 tour.
This year, in addition to featuring historic homes, creative gardens, an historic school, holiday vendors, food trucks and the famous Cookie House with home baked goodies, the event organizers will be collecting shelf-stable food for The Family School, a preschool through K school in the neighborhood.
The fun begins at 11th Avenue and Willetta, just two blocks south of McDowell Road in central Phoenix. Historic homes will open their doors at 11 a.m. for the tour, which will run until 7 p.m.; the marketplace will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 beginning Dec. 1. Tickets and FAQs can be found online at www.fqstoryhometour.org. Tickets also are available on site at 9th Avenue and Willetta Street the day of the tour.
