“We are different from other gyms,” said Abby Hafen, who leads classes at the gym, “because we know everyone has individual needs, we address those needs and adjust workouts accordingly. We want all people to move, feel supported, and most importantly safe.”
The gym recently added two new classes, one focuses on people with Parkinson’s and seniors, the other is suited for everyone.
Held Mondays at 2:30 p.m., PWR!Moves is a weekly movement class specially designed for people with Parkinson’s and older adults to improve balance, mobility and functional strength in a safe, supportive setting. The class offers evidence-based exercises and instruction is tailored participants’ needs. In addition, a Stretch & Mobility class will be held every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. Take a midweek break at this 60-minute class designed to help participants increase flexibility, ease tension and move with more freedom. The first class is free with code “Abby.”
