
The city of Phoenix will celebrate Independence Day at Steele Indian School Park once again this year, with a fireworks display and family-friendly fun (photo courtesy of City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department).
Valley residents are invited to head to Steele Indian School Park on Friday, July 4, for the annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th – one of the largest free Independence Day events in Arizona.
Attendees can enjoy a fireworks display, live entertainment, food vendors, a Kids Zone, and family-friendly fun for all ages. Festivities kick off in the evening and run from 6-10 p.m. (fireworks are at 9:15 p.m.). Admission is free. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities.
Residents should note that on July 3, the entire park will be closed for event load-in until 6 p.m. event time on July 4. The day of the event, there will be no onsite parking or vehicle entrance; however, Steele Indian School Park, located at 300 E. Indian School Road, is adjacent to a Valley Metro Light Rail station and the use of transit is encouraged.
