From high school marching bands, dance crews and car enthusiasts to neighborhood groups, local leaders and Valley businesses, Phoenix will come together for the 38th annual APS Electric Light Parade on Saturday, Dec. 6 (photo courtesy of city of Phoenix).

For more than three decades, the APS Electric Light Parade has been an event where families, neighborhood groups and businesses from across the city come together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season. For the 38th annual parade, which takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, in North Central Phoenix, Make-A-Wish Arizona will serve as grand marshal.

With a theme of “Let It Glow,” the free, family-friendly event will begin at Central and Montebello avenues and head south to Camelback Road, where the parade will turn east, travelling to 7th Street and continuing south to Indian School Road, where the parade ends.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on the day of the parade, street restrictions and closures will be in place in the surrounding area. For information, visit www.phoenix.gov/elp.
