This summer, Bookmans Entertainment Exchange and their community partners will host free Summer Kids Events every Thursday in June and July. Starting at 1p.m., the events will last about an hour and are created to be engaging, educational and fun.
At the Phoenix location, 8034 N. 19th Ave., June events include The Great Arizona Puppet Theater presenting “My Pet Dinosaur.” The play tells the story of a little boy who gets an unusual present for his birthday – dinosaur egg (June 4); World Wildlife Zoo presents “Creatures of the Night.” This program discusses adaptations of nocturnal animals as well as the benefits of being nocturnal (June 11); Mad Science presents “Up, Up, and Away.” This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure (June 18); and A Toy Party, featuring sing-along, crafts and photo op featuring the store’s favorite cowboy and space ranger (June 25).
