If you crave Japanese food and drinks, you might want to indulge in the Otsukimi Festival 2019.

The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix will hold the festival from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix at 1125 N. 3rd Ave.

Several restaurants will serve food while Sapporo USA and Hiro Sake will serve sake cocktails and beer at the bar. Expect seasonal wines, including Japanese plum wine. Pair your beverages with plates from Yatai Ramen and Ohya Korean Kitchen & BBQ.

The garden will transform for this celebration of the Harvest Moon, Otsukimi. Sroll through lantern-lit pathways and look at calligraphy art installations to the sounds of the shakuhachi (Japanese flute) by Jin and Koto. Matcha tea and sweet treats will be served in the Tea Café.

Advanced tickets for admission are $30 for adults ($25 for Garden members) and $7 for youths ages 3 to 12. Admission is free for children under 3 years old.
