Lotions & Potions Fragrance Blending Bar, a business for more than 45 years, is now selling its “scent-sensational” body and bath products in the Melrose District.
The store that offers a large variety of essential oils, diffusers to dispense the oils, as well as bath fizzies, body lotions, soap, candles, custom-perfume-blending of more than 500 fragrances and other items opened in March at 4302 N. 7th Ave. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, diffusing natural oils into the air at home has become more popular, as more residents are working from home, according to Lotions & Potions. The store also sells CBD wellness products.
Sharon Muir, a certified aromatherapist for 30 years, started Lotions & Potions in 1973, as she had been dealing with extreme sensitivity to most soap and many body care products, along with toxic ingredients. She helps teach aromatherapy classes and has created perfumes and complementary products for several clients around the country.
