Grab your tennis shoes and gather your family members and friends to participate in the fun-filled 2021 Phoenix Turkey Trot, which is returning in-person this year.

This event will feature a 5K run and walk, a 10K run and a one-mile “gobbler dash” for parents and children ages 12 and under and a “tot trot” on Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, Nov. 25. The one-mile “gobbler dash” starts at 7:30 a.m. and the “tot trot,” which is a 50-yard dash for youths ages 6 and under, begins at 9:30 a.m. Those who take part in the 10K run will start at 8 a.m. and the 5K run and walk kicks off at 8:30 a.m.

There will be pumpkin pie and cranberry course stations. The top finishers by age will receive pumpkin pies and bragging rights. This event will take place downtown and the race course will be posted at www.phoenixturkeytrot.com. Each participant will receive a cotton race shirt, a race bib and a finisher medal. There also will be a costume contest for “best-dressed turkey,” “most creative,” “best dressed family,” “best dressed couple” and “best dressed team of (10 or more to quality).
