The city of Phoenix’s two senior centers in North Central will offer a full line-up of activities this month.

The Devonshire Senior Center offers a Morning Mindfulness class at 10 a.m. and  a documentary film at 11 a.m. on Mondays, a Technology Hour at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, a Line Dancing class at 1 p.m. on Thursdays, and a Friday Draw and Sketch Class at 11 a.m. Participants can register for the programs up to one day prior.

Devonshire Senior Center, located at 2802 E. Devonshire Ave., includes a fitness center, dance/exercise room, billiards room, meeting space and an art gallery and offers programs and activities from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. In addition, the Human Services Department offers nutritional and social services for older adults. To help seniors stay in shape, Sunnyslope Senior Center offers Geri-Fit Strength Training on Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and a Gentle Chair Yoga (in person or virtual) on Thursdays at 10 a.m. Ben’s Fine Art meets every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and there will be a Book Club (in person or virtual) meeting on Monday, Jan. 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. The center also hosts Movies at the Center every Monday and Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Contact staff to find out which movie will be playing.

Co-located with the Sunnyslope Community Center at 802 E. Vogel Ave., Phoenix, Sunnyslope Senior Center offers a variety of activities, games, billiards, exercise classes and health programs.
