Young animal lovers are invited to explore the world of animal welfare at the Arizona Humane Society’s (AHS) summer camps, which take place in June and July at the Rob & Melani Walton Papago Park Campus.
“With a variety of STEAM-based programs for kids aged 5-17, there’s sure to be a session paw-fectly tailored to each child and their interests,” AHS said.
Sessions will include Animal Ed-Ventures (a week-long ed-venture where campers will discover how they can make a difference in the lives of animals); Shelter Explorers (children will explore the world of AHS’ animal rescuers and discover what it takes to make the community the best place to be a pet; Pet Vets (a science-based program that focuses on the building blocks of veterinary science and allows young teens to test out the realities of this career option); and Pawsitive Service Camp (for neurodivergent youth and teens, this program offers a safe yet challenging camp experience aimed at developing new skills and gaining hands-on experiences).
Discounts are available for parents who register multiple children. Sign up at www.azhumane.org/summer-camp.
