Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen will turn into a sea of purple and orange on Friday, March 28, when Phoenix Suns fans are invited to a Watch Party and P.I.Z.Z.A. Championship competition at Spinato’s Central Phoenix restaurant, located at 5509 N. 7th St.
Suns fans and pizza lovers alike are invited to watch their hometown basketball team take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on big screen TVs while cheering along with the Phoenix Suns Gorilla and Phoenix Suns dancers. The party, which starts at 5 p.m., also features chances to win tickets to a Phoenix Suns game, gift certificates and other prizes at this official Suns Watch Party. In attendance will be Vince Marotta, PA voice of the Phoenix Suns and co-host of Bickley and Marotta Mornings on Arizona Sports. The PHNX crew from The Phoenix Sports Podcast will also emcee the event.
The event is the culmination of the restaurant’s second annual “P.I.Z.Z.A.” competition, which took place throughout the season. At the March event, the winners from those competitions will compete to win free pizza for a month and two tickets to the April 11 Suns game, during which they try a free throw shot for a chance to upgrade to free pizza for a year. If the Suns make it to the championship and win, Spinato’s will give out pizza for a month to a series of random fans who follow them on social media.
