On Feb. 8, Phoenix Melrose District’s The Royale celebrated its one-year anniversary with a fun-filled community event and the announcement of a restaurant rebrand. Home to several service-oriented local businesses at 635 W. Glenrosa Avenue, The Royale is a vibrant outdoor complex, serving an equally vibrant neighborhood.
Along with the one-year milestone, Yumbar, the casual restaurant and bar at the complex, is embracing a new chapter this year. Owners Mark Howard and Rocco Menaguale are unveiling a reimagined concept: Royale Kitchen + Cocktails. The space will continue to be a destination for everyday dining, now featuring an elevated experience with dinner, brunch, an expanded happy hour and offerings perfect for special occasions. The owners say the rebrand aims to emphasize the venue’s identity as a neighborhood restaurant rather than just a bar, aligning with their vision to refine the concept and focus on a well-rounded dining experience.
New items will join Yumbar fan favorites on the rebranded menu. Guests also can expect new drink menus, new daily specials, monthly events and interior design elements that create a more intimate and cozy dining environment. The air-conditioned and heated patio, also known as the “Flamingo Room,” serves as the restaurant’s outdoor dining as well as a space for private and public events with full-service catering and audio video capabilities.
